Hate speech case in Dharma Sansad : 5 member SIT set by Uttarakhand police
Uttarakhand police have constituted 5 members Special Investigation Team(SIT) to probe the case of alleged hate speech delivered during "Dharma Sansad" held in Haridwar.
Uttarakhand DIG Garhwal Karan Singh Nagnyal said, A 5-member SIT has been constituted under an SP-level officer to probe the matter of the Dharma Sansad hate speech case in Haridwar. Legal action to be taken against those found guilty, tweeted ANI.
Haridwar City SP Shekhar Suyal on Saturday said that, police have named two more persons, that is, Dharm Das and Annapurna, in the Dharma Sansad hate speech case.
On Dec 23, police said it had booked Wasim Rizvi aka Jitendra Tyagi & others under Section 153A IPC in the case.
On the basis of the viral video clip, two more names, Sagar Sindhu Maharaj & Yati Narsinghanand Giri, have been added to the FIR in the Dharma Sansad hate speech case, upon further investigation. Section 295A has been included in the FIR, says Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar ANI tweeted.
